Book Cover Design-FAQ’s

What happens once I’ve submitted the questionnaire?

After completion of the questionnaire and the deposit is paid I normally have everything I need to get started, if not I will absolutely e-mail you with any additional questions. You will receive a confirmation within twenty-four hours once payment is received and between 3 and 5 business days I will send you at least 2 draft cover options.

Once you have reviewed the draft covers, please send your feedback and comments on those covers. If one of the covers is close enough to your expectations then I can move forward with alterations as needed to that particular draft until you’re 100% happy.

What if I don’t like any of the drafts?

If you feel that neither option is a workable approach, I will create more based on further information from you. I will always ask you to articulate your reasons. This will help me move closer the final product.

What if I’m not happy with the whole process and want to cancel?

If prior to final approval you (or we) cannot agree on a final cover design, or you (or we) are not happy with the process or results, I will completely refund the deposit. My goal is to make this as easy as possible and to provide you with a design that is right for you.

What happens once I approve the cover?

Once you’re 100% satisfied, I will send you the invoice for the 50% balance through Paypal. Once paid, I will send you the final files ready for use. For print covers I will send the file as a (300dpi) print-ready PDF for your printer. If an E-book cover, I will send the final files as a Jpeg based on your distributors/resellers sizes. For all packages the “Marketing Kit” will be sent 1-2 days after final payment.

Image licensing?

All royalty-free images used for your cover (sourced through, gives you all rights to use the “cover” in any format you want (subject to’s/ terms and conditions*).

What if I want to supply my own art?

That is fine, but keep in mine you must validate you own the rights or can legally use the image. The image must be at “full sized used” at least 300 dpi to start. The package-design price however will remain be the same.
